Finally, when we find what works, we stick to it like glue. Although, even the cleaning products on the store shelf that actually work have their own downsides. Number one, they often aren’t cheap. Number two, they often contain harsh chemicals.

All-Purpose Well Being, Time and Money Savers Around the House
If you just have water and white vinegar, that’ll do as a great start. You have your all-natural, all-purpose cleaner, and replenishing your water and vinegar costs you pennies. Use 9 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Watch your counter tops, floors and windows sparkle. If you want an added disinfectant punch, follow up with hydrogen peroxide. That’s right the 3% you can buy at any store for pennies. (Use it separately only. It combines adversely with vinegar.) Want a great smell? Just add about 5 drops of your favorite essential oil to the water/vinegar mix!
Another quite efficient all-purpose cleaner calls for white vinegar and vodka. For a more sudsy consistency, it calls for liquid castile soap and washing soda (not baking soda). For an added anti-bacterial punch, it calls for tea tree oil. Use 4 parts vinegar to 1 part vodka and 1 part washing soda. Just around 3 drops of liquid soap and 3 or 4 drops of tea tree oil should complete the solution nicely. Add several drops of your favorite essential oil for a great odor.
A couple of things to remember about this solution: for the soap and soda to blend well, you must boil the vinegar first. Then add the vodka, and other ingredients.
